Moonrise over the South Rim

I’ve been very lucky at night at Grand Canyon. Several times I’ve been there at new moon. Grand Canyon is an internationally recognized Dark Sky Park, and there I have seen the most glorious Milky Ways ever! I’ve also experienced the opposite. I saw this rising full moon illuminating the Canyon’s surface with heavenly light while dusk was still painting the Canyon walls below with sunglow.
