ABOUT THIS SHOW

The attraction between young girls and horses is as mysterious as it is common. I was one of those legions of young girls who had a love affair with horses, who yearned to ride, who dreamt of having a horse of her own. That never happened for reasons I did not understand at the time, but what DID happen was that my unfulfilled passion for horses made me an artist. I created my herds of beautiful and spirited horses in my imagination, and I drew them unceasingly. I even made a wild herd of stick horses with lush manes and tails of yarn, and I would ride them, fast and wild, through my dreams.

I eventually did learn to ride, and I am now having wonderful, and REAL, experiences with horses. The most recent was last fall when I rode with the Icelandic farmers as they gathered their horses from where they summer in mountain meadows and brought them down to the farms for the winter. I have also recently begun training in natural horsemanship, a beautiful way of relating with horses on their terms, in their language.

I will be donating a portion of all sales from my show to Return To Freedom, a sanctuary ranch near Lompoc for rescued wild horses and burros. You can learn more about RTF here: https://returntofreedom.org/

See you at the show!
