The North Rim is different. Fewer people, less frenetic rushing around, greater tranquility. Hiking trails are more varied. But the sunrise is the same. People gather at the viewing spots as if going to church. The talk, if there is any at all, is quiet and respectful, even reverent. The loudest sound you will likely hear is the call of a bird or the sound of a clicking shutter.
